It’s a big weekend for many American sports fans as they prepare for Super Bowl XLVII!
(Personally, I love the half time show and of course, the commercials!)
Which team will win? You decide!
Baltimore Ravens VS. San Francisco 49′ers
The truth is the Super Bowl long ago became more than just a football game.
It’s part of our culture like turkey at Thanksgiving and lights at Christmas,
and like those holidays beyond their meaning, a factor in our economy.

Hi Heather:
Good post! Do you know that stock market prices even fluctuate depending on who wins? I couldn’t have cared less who won. Both teams were winners because they were at the Super Bowl. Like you I am interested in who sings the national anthem and who does the half-time show and of course those multi-million-dollar ads but I did root for the Ravens for Cynthia and because everyone was saying the 49ers had it made. Moral: It’s not over until it’s over!

Hi Gail,
I did not know that. Well I hope the best team won. I did not see the Super Bowl mostly because I don’t watch television. On a postive note since I am moving back to the Maryland area, at least we will have the Super Bowl winners. 5 months to go exactly today. The count down has started.

Hi Gail and Cynthia. Yes, the Baltimore Ravens were the underdogs, but they came out the winners (by 3 points!). It was a great game with great entertainment. I liked the Dorito and car commercials the best.
Have a great day!
