Summer is almost over and for many, another school year will soon begin. I met my daughter’s first grade teacher today – some say first grade is really the initiation into the education system. I’m excited for her and know she’ll do great!

Hi Heather,
I am so excited for her. Monday is the big first day! I can not believe that our children are entering the formal school year. We have about 1 week and a half to do before school starts so I am busy ironing in name tags. Good luck A on first grade, I know you will do great!

Yes, tomorrow we go school shopping for the first time! We don’t need a lot, but it will be fun looking and letting the kids pick out a few things for themselves. I used to love school shopping when I was little and loved showing my new clothes off the first week of school. Can’t wait to hear how Madyson’s first week goes too! Love ya

I will have to say that was one of my favorite things as well. Madyson is getting excited about her first week of school. Unfortunatley school shopping was a uniform, though we did have some fun buying a pair of shoes. I can not believe she is going into year two. I am a little nervous about this year with a new school and then returning to the states where there will be a completely different education system. The blessing is that we will hopfully be back in the DC area, so the trio will be back together again to support each other. Just have to convince you to bring your children down the road a bit.
