Finding Positive In Even A Monday

We have all woke up on a Monday morning thinking if I could just get one more weekend day, I would be better rested, have accomplished more, or be in better spirits. Have you ever wondered why we are always wishing for more time to do past things?

This Monday as you wake from your weekend slumber find the positive of what a Monday morning can do for you. Let me start you off with a list.

  1. Monday can give you the opportunity to smile at a senior citizen that could not wait until Monday because weekends are lonely.
  2. An opportunity to try a favor of coffee at your local coffee stop.
  3. A chance to listen to a good morning show on the way to work.
  4. A chance to get a hug or kiss from someone you love.
  5. A chance to change your destiny.

  2. Hi Cynthia,

Hmm…. who doesn’t have the Monday blues…. especially those with kids :)

My kids hate Monday’s but if they’ve had a long break, they are happy going back to school as well. But as you mentioned, it’s a great day to start off the week and something I look forward to – though it’s always a heavy one for me catching up with work. Nevertheless, I enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing, and have a nice week ahead :)

    • Hi Harleena,

Monday always seems to be a little hectic. My child has trouble getting out of bed even though we try to get her to bed at 7 pm on a Sunday evening to make up for the late night weekends and try to start off without the Monday morning attitude. I on the other love Monday. I love the fresh start of a new week just as much as Fridays when I can say it is wine time. Hope you are having a great week.

  3. Hi Cynthia,

I too echo Lisa’s welcome back. I miss you. I am now on your side of the border for the winter.

Mondays were never my favorite day even though I used to do the “cheerleader” speech about “fresh beginnings” and Monday being a “gift”. I stopped doing that when one of my student said that if Monday as “a gift” he wanted to know where the gift return department was!

Have a happy Monday, my friend.

    Gail

  4. I just don’t know what it is about Mondays and Work. I despise it! If I know I’m off from work, I’m fine. It’s that back to work Monday that is a real kick in my pants. Just don’t like it. ;)
